Over the years, pianist Erga Halilaj has performed in many concerts as a soloist, soloist with orchestra and chamber musician. Her wide repertoire includes: Mozart Sonatas, Beethoven Sonatas, Hayden Variations, Beethoven Variations, Scriabin Sonata, Debussy Preludes, Brahms-Paganini variations, Chopin Sonata, Chopin Ballade, Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue, Liszt Piano Concerto no. 1, Chaconne Bach, Shostakovich Sonata, Grieg Sonata, Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 1, etc. Erga has performed here in the U.S. and international at prestigious concert halls such as The DiMenna Center for Classical Music in New York City, Barness Recital Hall in Tampa FL, University of Arts Hall in Albania, Red Hall in Kosovo, Ministeru Victoria in Malta, and Usher Hall in Scotland.
Erga has over 12 years of experience teaching piano, having taught at the University of Arts and Jordan Misja Artistic Lyceum in Tirana, Albania, Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School in Malta, and the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Erga Halilaj graduated with honors from the University of Arts in Tirana in her native country of Albania. Following graduation, Erga started her career at the Philharmonic Orchestra of Albania as a pianist, where she worked for ten years. She left Albania to study at the University of South Florida on a full scholarship for her outstanding academic achievements, where she earned her Master’s degree in Piano Performance.
