Critically-acclaimed clarinetist and bass clarinetist, Don Mokrynski was the Principal Clarinetist with the national tours of Phantom of the Opera and The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. He has also performed with the New Jersey Symphony, the New Haven Symphony, and Orchestra New England, Jersey Lyric, and the New Haven and Connecticut Grand Opera companies.

Notably, Don is a founding member of the Palisades Virtuosi through which he’s performed in concerts throughout the tri-state area, Hawaii, and Canada. Their first five volumes of their New American Masters series have been named to Fanfare magazine’s “Most Wanted” lists.

Don’s educational background includes studying with Herbert Blayman (former principal clarinetist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra); Stanley Hasty, Leon Russianoff, and Richard Waller. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music degree from The Julliard School.
